So I was thinking about something today. Something I've always wanted was a Michael Jackson Forum where the grown up/objective fans could really discuss Michael Jackson, his life, his music, everything. However, I'm not so sure his real fans REALLY want that.

It seems like Michael's fanbase has a lot of younger people than people tend to realize. I'm always surprised that there is more and more of 12-14 year old girls that like Michael Jackson

So I was curious, would Michael's fans really like a place free of the gold pants threads? Free of weird censorship? Or do both go hand and hand with MJ forums?

I often hearing bitching about MJ boards, the censorship, the REALLY strict rules (and coming from Prince fans..that says A LOT.)

So the question is.....would the "objective" Michael Jackson fans REALLY want a place to discuss him? Or do they just like bitching about how things are the way they are?

I thought the non-Prince section of this site was a Michael Jackson board anyway? . I mean, it might as well be .

Anyway there are MJ boards (though they are far and few in between) that don't discuss things like gold pants and mostly focus on the music but they aren't as active as say MJNO. Honestly though Prince.org is one of the best music sites on the web and I don't think an MJ.org board would work really to be honest.

What I love about Prince fans is that they are true music lovers and you can find here a lot of topics on all kinds of music and artist. If you come across something on the MJ site, it´s gonna be only about the commercial stuff - like Britney, J-Lo and ppl like that.

Sorry that was actually of topic responce. I don´t know if they´d want the "real discussion" as you say. But I don´t go on that many boards (hardly any), but I guess it´s like that with any artist. The forums that I´ve seen were always adoring towards their idol.

I find it better to discuss MJ here. I know non-MJ fans get sick of it. But it's the only place you can discuss MJ freely and talk about him objectively without being called a "hater". MJJCommunity.com launches in about an hour (I think) so I'll have to see how that turns out but I think it'll merely be MJJForum take 2.
