That was from his variety show from 1976. He was 43 doing those moves.

Actually, this footage comes from the documentary "Soulbrother No. 1" by legendary filmmaker Adrian Maben and is from 1977 - right when James Brown recorded his "Mutha Nature"-album. He's actually dancing to a rough mix of "If you don't give a dogone about it".
