I am so sorry. I didn't mean to post that three times. I was about to say, nobody likes him enough to start that many dupilcate threads. It happens, though. Not a huge fan. Not even enough to simply buy that greatest hits set which is like over 10 years old! They are good and have their moments, but the personality of Jon is terrible!

Always have been a fan from day one, and really the only ones to survive that time period in their genre, and i think their survival was mainly because they were from Jersey and not from LA like all the other bands at the time that burned out on drugs and women and got fat and rested on their past. Jovi will never get any kind of respect from critics, however they are finally getting it from their peers, at the last Grammy show they finally won their first, though it was in the Country category of all things. Im not sure why you think his personality is terrible? I havent seen that in him at all, and also he is one of the smartest musicians out there in terms of Business, he owns everything they have done, from masters to publishing to merchandising. I started to get into Bon Jovi when Jon Bon Jovi started showing up in movies. He seemed to be a pretty good actor, and although I had heard their music over the years, I started paying more attention to them as a band, and realized they work pretty hard and are pretty solid musicians. And then "Wanted Dead or Alive" came out and sealed the deal.

[Edited 10/28/07 19:48pm] Yeah, and at least he's not the one trying to remove videos off Youtube just because they happen to have his music in it, unlike a certain artist that starts with the letter P that we all know of.

I'm a fan of 80's Bon Jovi. They kind of lost me when they went all adult contemporary. And they definitely lost me when they started going country. I guess I'm stuck in the 80's! Shake it til ya make it

The whole guido/cowboy deal. Please! It just iritates the hell out of me. He really strikes me as an awful person. Not cool.

Nope. Almost every song is wrapped around a cliche.
He's a good looking guy with a band that was promoted well. That's really about it. Hey - but if you like him who cares what I think. southpark88 said: I know we all like Prince, but does anybody here like Bon Jovi as well?
