its also lip synch and MJ did it way before the 90s

Sure he did, like Alasseon pointed out in the above post. However, on tours like Destiny, Triumph, and Bad (except for the last song of the last two concerts, I believe) and 80-90% of Dangerous, he sang live. His career should not be based on post-1995 alone. His best work performance-wise was done from the late '60s to the late '80s.

I wish he would sing live again neutral

In the studio, he still sounds great -- not as smooth as he used to, but still has one of the greatest voices in modern popular music. But I am of the opinion that he is done touring-wise. I think his vocals were damaged during the Bad tour. All we can hope is that he will get back into shape, do an Elvis-like comeback TV concert, and release his new album before 2010. LOL. In all seriousness, though, I think Michael Jackson retired after the HIStory tour. The MJ and Friends concerts and the 2001 Madison Square Garden concerts were alright, but a pale reflection of what he used to be. And that is alright; he was the best entertainer in the world from the late '70s to the late '80s, and one of the most impressive child singers and dancers in modern popular music. No one can be on top forever.

If Michael opened his vault and released:

The Victory Tour on DVD
The Bad World Tour '88 or '89 on DVD
a 4CD set of unreleased material
and remastered deluxe editions of The Jacksons albums

that would be MJ fan's dream come true

I hated You Rock My World. It was nothing but a watered down lame impersonation of Smooth Criminal. And Michael never disappoints with a music video. I too think, after Bad, his voice was starting to hurt. All that screaming did some damage to his voice. lol razz

As for now, I don't know what to think. The last time I heard him sing a note was in James Brown's Lifetime Achievement BET Awards performance in 2003, and all he said was MAKE IT FUNKY! WHOOT!"

And poor baby, every time I hear him talk now, he sounds madd nasally. And we all know why. When he gave his speech at BET, there were some words spoken like he had a cold. Its getting hard to breathe in that nose. sad He won't be able to sing like he used to.

Of course, I'm not going to go blame him for not being able to sing like 'Blame it on the boogie' but I don't think MJ is the type to take care of his voice. In fact, I know nothing of detail regarding his vocals. eek No one asks him about that. I wonder if I send an email to Raymone she'll forward it to MJ lol Yeah, I know thats not going to happen. But shit, I'm doing a better job than she is. I puts it down, Michael hire me.

And her blonde weave bothers me.

He doesn´t necessarly need to get fat, but he needs to put some fat on definately.

Actually Elvis was lean in his '68 "comeback" special. I think that's what he's talking about. smile He only got fat like six years after that.

Beats me. lol It's like they feel they untouchable. But I can never understand why Ron didn't just go to Europe until things were situated. He stood a losing chance here anyways. lol Guess it wasn't his thing, dig? lol

And yeah I remember Sam had problems with the tax man.

Ahh, someone mentioned about the work Michael had done on his nose may have affected his voice.

I seem to remember that's why Barbra Streisand avoided doing any work on *her* nose; she was afraid it would ruin or drastically change her voice.

I can believe it unfortunately.

By the way I got a Curtis Mayfield thread (titled "People say 'don't worry (if there's a hell below, we're all gonna go)!") if anyone's interested of hearing it. smile

LOL! I don't know why he chose to sing that song especially with the people surrounding him. It's a tough song to sing in that higher register. He probably could do it when he first recorded it though. But we'll see.

He looked 1,000,000 times better here than he did when his skin was black.
