R.Kelly is like some sort of idiot savant Think about it? He's oddly Brilliant! He makes catchy nursery rhyme tunes and now he makes songs where he just talks.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...daAWFoWr2c I don't know why but in this song he reminds me of those people released from mental hospitals who roam around the streets talking to themselves and scratching...

Is it true that he can't read? I seem to remember mistermaxx talking about that on an MJ board back in the day. He wasn't talking about reading music either.

Corny hip-hop featuring aside Chocolate Factory was a great album, the unreleased Loveland is even better.
He has truly lost it, had all the potential to be one of the greats but he decided to be the next T-Pain/Akon.

He has truly lost it, had all the potential to be one of the greats but he decided to be the next T-Pain/Akon. R. Kelly is a marginal singer, a decent producer and a marginal songwriter whose greatest talent is imitating whatever is popular. It's amazing and sad he's been around as long as he has, considering he has nothing really to hang his hat on outside of being a supreme copycat. But I feel history will bear out his legacy, because despite all of his success most of his catalog is throwaway. [Edited 10/30/07 16:34pm] THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

I'll give the guy credit for a few decent songs particularly on his self titled album; however for every 1 decent song he makes he will be sure to counter it with 10 crappy songs. He is only getting worse and i cannot for the life of me figure out why people of the 90's generation consider him to be the messiah of r&b. Like you mentioned, he basically capitalizes on current trends to keep his comical career going. Don't laugh at my funk

You got that half right.
God. I'm listening to this Real Talk nonsense. Unbelievable. This is music, right? This is art? Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Barry White, Howard Hewitt, Smokey Robinson, and God Knows How Many Others are all losing sleep over this... It makes singing about his jeep seem Grammy-worthy. Some people tell me I've got great legs...

Profound. Who remembers the remix to "Feelin on Yo Booty", where he's vocalizing the word "booty" at the end. Terrible. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)
