Some recommendations please!

Since everyone here knows their stuff, please recommend me some bands/artists with a real mix of funk and rock with a touch of electronica!

Please, please, I want to expand my horizon! nod

I know this might not be the answer you are looking for, but I highly recommend Cameo's work prior to Word Up. They (to me) had a good balance. Especially on the Alligator Woman album.

I'm sure there are others, but thats the 1st group that comes to my mind.

And electronic bands you cannea afford to miss;

The Knife http://www.myspace.com/theknife
Check out their Silent Shout album,esp We Share Our Mothers' Health. And if you like what you hear; get the Deluxe Edition, which is exquisite. Probably the best new band to touch me in ways no one else did since, well, probably Björk's Debut.

Ladytron http://www.myspace.com/ladytron
Check out song Blue Jeans. Totally updated Eno/Bowie 70's stuff. Been DJ-ing last night and this song turned the club UPSIDE DOWN in combi with We Share Our Mothers' Health.

Kewl electronica stuff; http://www.myspace.com/maisonkitsune
French lable Masion Kitsuné releases REAL kewl stuff; check out their four Maison Kitsuné compilation albums. They throw kewl parties in London and Paris.
