80s R&B Jam of the day: "It's So Delicious" by Starpoint (1983)

I can't see the video but the song title sounds familiar. I think that's around the time they had out "Don't Be So Serious", which I have on 45.
My favorite Starpoint era is 1981 before they had the female vocalist fronting the band. They were much more funky on "Keep On It". Andy is a four letter word.

You know this song.It starts off with the lead singer saying,in a sexy voice...
"Ummmm....can I have seconds"? It's so delicious baby...your love is so good to me it's so delicious baby...your love is so good to me very sexy song! Probably inspired by Mtume's "Juicy Fruit" which came out a few months earlier.

In the 80's, Starpoint definitely had a flair for the Minnie Funk b/c I remember another single of their's which I had bought as a twelve inch titled What You Been Missing. Yeah Renee diggs was hot. She looked stunning in that video licking
that lollipop. More importantly she was a good and very underrated vocalist. I agree starpoint was a little more funky during this period. This song reminds me of prince protege's vanity 6. My favorite starpoint uptempo jams were bring your sweet loving back and he wants my body. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Yes and the other member who passed was also a lead vocalist in the group. It's also no secret that these two were romantically involved. Don't laugh at my funk

I agree.This song sounds just like a Vanity 6 song....sorta like a cross between "Nasty Girl" and "If A Girl Answers".Very Minneapolis-sounding!

I liked object of my desire but i liked a few of their other uptempo jams better. Their forte was the slow jams however. They actually have a lot of good slow jams that people either remotely remember or not familiar with at all. Don't laugh at my funk
