Loved this era then , love this era now.

I think what sets apart the True Blue / Whos That Girl era from the one before it (Like A Virgin) is that its timeless.

At least for me anyways , songs like Like A Virgin , Material Girl and Dress You Up I cant bare to listen to anymore. While Live to Tell , La Isla Bonita , Whos That Girl & Causing a Commotion still are great Madonna pop songs today.

but I think it's her least attractive look.

Really? I can see maybe the Who's That Girl movie hair being too much when it's all poofed out like that.

But I think the True Blue album cover is a contender for her most iconic image. She was fine as hell in "Open Your Heart" too.

The pixie cut was hot but when she started to grow it out, coupled with the 80s eye brows she didn't look her best.

Look of Love and Live To Tel

I LOVE THOSE SONGS AND THE PERFORMANCES ON WHO'S THAT GIRL TOUR.

after that it's La Isla Bonita and Causing A Commotion

than and Open Your Heart

Live to Tell is supposdly about rape, specificlly one Madonna had in NY when she first moved there.

The song was going to be given to another singer, and the vocals on the track are the rough demo vocals and you can hear the pages from the song sheet turn if you listen carefully. Madonna and Pat heard the vocals and felt the song had to stay. Many people were blown away when the song came out because they were expecting LAV part 2 and her designer at the time Maripol was upset because her business went under when Madge switched looks. It was the first time Madonna had recreated her image.

I think you're mixing this up with Into The Groove (the part about it being intended for another singer). All the rest is true.

Oh, and Maripol wasn't upset.

When it comes to Madonna, I like her first two albums and "Get Into The Groove". After that, I didn't like anything she made until she made "Vogue". When she made "Vogue", she was really jamming. I didn't know she had it in her to throwdown that hard. I loved the "Erotica" era after that also. After that period was over, I only liked one or two songs here and there such as "Ray Of Light" and "Music".

You can't shake your ass to it in a club. Therefore it's junk. Worthless.
