Do you guys believe what Joss Stone is saying.

She has accused her ex-boyfriend Beau Dozier of raping her. She was going out with him since she was like sixteen or seventeen now she is accusing him of rape and being a psycho. What do you guys think about this?

You have a good point she should just make up her mind about things and grow up. That's is what I dislike about her sometimes. A real artists singers especially learns from their flaws in singing and production. In the very beginning when she said that Mind, Body and Soul is her and her real debut but she is saying her new album Introducing Joss Stone is her real debut.

Next when she creates a fourth album she will be bashing the third album. A real artists do not bash their work they learn from it. When Joss Stone said that she hates her Mind, Body, and Soul album that is like her bashing her fans who supported her especially in Britain that is probably part of the reason she is so ignored there.

Joss Stone should just mind her own business regarding Beau. I mean Beau has forgot about her why won't she forget about him. She should just grow up stop whining and just make music.

I think there's a significant difference between a person growing to hold different opinions about the nature of work they've done as an artist and what they say about whether someone has assaulted them.

If the issue is truthfulness and consistency, that's one thing. But to hear artists in a fickle industry diss earlier work in an effort to have current or future work taken more seriously isn't so uncommon. Shucks, Prince, to some extent, does that concerning his own catalog.

But, that's still quite different from saying what the original post says she has said about being assaulted.

Just my twocents .

I googled it, it's on PR-Inside.com.

It said she accused him of statutory rape because he KNEW she was 16 and he was 24 but if that was the case why did she stay with him for so long?

that's what's so screwed up about statutory rape laws. when you're 16, you know what you're doing when you're with a 24 year old. and then you can get pissed off at him and get him into tons of trouble. which should be a lesson to the 24 year olds dating 16 year olds. and i'm not even talking about famous people.

when it comes to statutory rape laws, i always thought it wasn't fair that most minors get off scot free
they should at least charge a fine to the parents

Sex is legal in the UK from 16.

Because he has money from being a son of a R&RHOF songwriter.

But then again, why would any woman want to say in a relationship with a man who rape them? Give me a break, it isn't Luke & Laura from General Hospital!

I strongly believe that there is something wrong with her.She is too immature for me to be a fan to.

Didn't she already say in the beginning that she did not sleep with Beau.

You have a very good point. Did you know too she had vocal nodules. Her doctor told her to rest her voice so she can save her voice. The only way a singer can get nodules is if they force their voice to much. Whenever I hear Joss Stone sing she always rely on singing through her throat. That is a very unhealthy way way of singing. Her voice does not really give a genuine soulful sound it does sound forced and she relies too much on sounding like her influences. From the ways she sings she probably won;t last for 20 years.

Im not the only one who feels this way touched I not an expert on vocals but i do know when someone is straining their voice... and i even think kelly clarkson is guilty of straining her voice as well...

i also wonder what Joss will sound like when she is like 40 yrs old...

i feel sorry for her.. because she is trying to live up to this image that is not realistic and dangerous for her at the same time... I bet it takes her days to record songs... and she can probably only record songs for a couple of hours....

That is totally true one of the music critics said she can only sing for an hour and 45 minutes when she does a gig. Whenever she does a gig she is always doing it in small clubs or theaters. If you look at her performance you will see she relies too much on her background singers.

It is not a bad thing having background singers but she relies on them too much. I don't see Lauryn Hill and Mary J Blige and so on not relying too much on background singers.

But a good one you have a good ear because you know the difference between genuine vocals and fake vocals.

When I heard her on the her debut album I can tell that she will eventually will have problems with her voice. Evey song she sang on the album was forced.
