Artists finally catch on that the US music market isnt the place to focus attention anymore Well im not sure if people have been noticing, but there have been alot of artists that arent doing any form of promo in the USA and devoting their time overseas, which iis proven to be a more lucrative and much more open market than the usa. Sure numbers wise, the states still tops others, but artists right now are looking for some loyality, and thats why they are focusing promotional attention overseas. The UK has at least 10 different shows where artists can perform and be interviewed, the USA doesnt even have a video channel at this point. Yes, the commercial opportunites are there, but also I have found a stronger appreciation for genres other than pop in Europe and Asia - a much more intellectual approach to music as an art. And there are musical artists out there that seek that appreciation much more than they do the commerical aspect. tA nailed it. "Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive."

Could this be why Beyonce is adding dates to her tour every other week? | |

Which is also why they are doing it all overseas, the USA is done, they put their cds out here and its a debut and boom its gone. At least in the uk and others they can go on shows and promote and tour and do interviews and actually have singles, lets face it the USA is a done deal at this point.
