RAMP's Come Into Knowledge (1977) was reissued on CD this month so it is much cheaper to cop now (rather than the Japan import).



... and especially cheaper than the OG vinyl release.

This one below is brandnew. Two unreleased tracks from 1977 .. one of the is a version of Roy's "Old one two". I like it even better than the original.

oh word? I heard about this but I wasn't sure if the songs were from 1977 because of RAMP's recent reunion. hmmm I thought maybe they cut these new songs. I might have to grab this single.

No, these are the originals. RAMP leader and drummer found an old tape in one of these boxes and offered them to Ubiquity Records. The 12" is currently sold out, but they'll press more. Nice release. This is the original tape:



RAMP won't be back in the studio to record new material until next year. A few collaborations are in the works - Erykah Badu for example wants to record with them.

Yeah it was special..I was doing some tracks with little louie vega and kenny dope in NYC and they asked me to do some dates playing guitar for an album they made called nuyorican soul..Roy was a featured artist on the album..so he did some dates with us..then asked me to join him for his own shows..It was nice! biggrin
