Radiohead Fans?

I know you're in here!!

What's your favorite album?

What are some of your favorite songs?

What did you think of Kid A and Amnesiac?

Did anyone see one of the concerts in Liberty State Park in August 2001? I was there!

Have you heard any of the new stuff that was played in Spain this summer?

How do you feel about Thom Yorke being referred to as the next John Lennon?

I really want to get into them. I've tried a few times but it just hasn't stuck. I think the 2 newest albums would do the trick. The only ones I have are 'Pable Honey' and 'The Bends'. I really like the things I've heard off of Kid A. I should put some more time into this band. There are a few artists like that that I think I should like more than I do. i.e. Beck, Elvis Costello. I'll love it sooner or later. smile

What are some of your favorite songs?
"Karma Police","No Surprises","Planet Telex","Street Spirit(fade out)""Morning Bell", so many more
What did you think of Kid A and Amnesiac?
I like both albums but I think they could have put the best from each on one album and call it "Kid Amnesiac"

Nope

You HAVE to get OK Computer & Kid A at least. Amnesiac was kind of odd at first few listens but I love it now. Pyramid song is just absolutely beautiful.

I think Kid A is my Fave. The artistic growth from Pablo Honey to the Bends alone is staggering. It's more staggering when you go from the Bends to OK Computer to Kid A. I love this band! They deserve all the acclaim they get.

¡Estoy aquí!

What's your favorite album?

OK Computer and Kid A. But I haven't heard every album they've released. In time...

What are some of your favorite songs?

Morning Bell, Everything In Its Right Place, The Tourist, Subterranean Homesick Alien, Paranoid Android, The National Anthem, Idioteque...

What did you think of Kid A and Amnesiac?

Kid A is abstract beauty. It's electronic music with a heartbeat. I give it a solid 4 star rating. biggrin Amnesiac is one of those albums I have but have only listened to it all the way thru only about twice. Needless to say, it's not as easy for me to get into as OKC and KA, but now that you bring it up I will.

Did anyone see one of the concerts in Liberty State Park in August 2001? I was there!

Never been to a Radiohead gig.

Have you heard any of the new stuff that was played in Spain this summer?

No.

How do you feel about Thom Yorke being referred to as the next John Lennon?

I think Thom Yorke is the one and only Thom Yorke. That's plenty.

Gotta love those spastic movements on stage.
biggrin

And just think; this is the same group that most people thought wouldn't be heard of after "Creep" almost a decade ago. Talk about evolving.

I also loved his collaboration with PJ Harvey!!!

Paranoid Android is such an awesome song. I didn't buy OKC when it came out, I wasn't feeling it when I previewed it. Then at KingSausage's (I think it was him) threats of bodily harm if I didn't get it so I bought it and WOW...how in the hell did I miss that boat. I guess I just wasn't ready for it when it hit. It's a fantastic album.

I think I will. I've been so hardcore with The Smiths lately that I haven't wanted to buy any new music. But once I run through that phase, maybe I'll pick those up. Did you hear "I've Seen It All" with Bjork? That was wonderful too.

Yes I have. I love that these artists are connected. I once heard a kick ass live duet of the Stones "Satisfaction" between Bjork & PJ Harvey. It kicked ass. THEY kick ass.

What did you think of Kid A and Amnesiac? Kid A is a masterpiece...i'd say it was their best album if i didnt have sentimental memories with The Bend...Amnesiac is an interesting experiment...A bit misguided but, ill have to listen to it again and get back to ya. wink

He is...no doubt...and I really enjoy my life a lot more with his music in it!

I was just wondering what anyone else thinks of that statement. I don't agree with it, but it's a pretty nice statement if it's not a compliment.

im still bitter over the fact that the Oscars decided to cut the Yorke/Bjork duet from the telecast...

without Thom's comments/versus the song is lost...and you can soo tell bjork understood that while singing on stage...but she gave it her all..

whats so silly is...the Oscars are always trying to be hip..and lil did they know that they had cancelled what would have easily been one of the most historical musical events ever...the fact that they got Thome to agree to do the show was historical...

sigh

I think this band is by far one of the best groups of the last 10 years.

I think that Thom and Co. have created a masterful and unique style of making music.

I Highly recommend OK computer. The best rock album in years! YEARS! And I don't mean 2 years, either.

This band also has about as many b-sides as they do the number of songs on all of their albums combined; some of these songs are as brilliant as their best released material; it just didn't fit the theme of the album at the time.

www.ateaseweb.com is probably the best Radiohead website there is. It's very updated and well put together with a great section of nothing but their unreleased material.

I can't say enough about this band.

If you haven't already, check out:
True love waits
Stupid Car
Like Spinning Plates (live version)
How I made my millions.
Pyramid song. (probably my favorite of all time)

Oh...and lift. You must hear "Lift"

Personally, I consider Radiohead the best rock group to come from the decade of the 90s. They're at the point that I'd buy their latest music without hearing it first. Not many are on that level for me.

What's your favorite album?
Ok Computer

What are some of your favorite songs?
Let Down, Bones, Paranoid Android, National Anthem, I Might Be Wrong
The Amazing Sounds Of Orgy (thank you IstenSzek!)

What did you think of Kid A and Amnesiac?
Kid A is absolute Brilliance, Amnesiac took me A LOT longer to get into, but seeing them live really helped that out..

Did anyone see one of the concerts in Liberty State Park in August 2001? I was there!
umm, I saw them outdoors in Chicago in Aug 2001...can't remember what the name of the park was, tho...they KICKED MY ASS!

Have you heard any of the new stuff that was played in Spain this summer?
I've heard a few of the tracks, but need to give them more time

How do you feel about Thom Yorke being referred to as the next John Lennon?
I hate these comparisons...

I really like Radiohead, seeing them live nearly killed me it was so gorgeous and I will never fully recover
