Jermaine Jackson "Castle of Sand" Let's get away from some Jackson negativity for a little while. Jermaine had a great song in 1978 with "Castle of Sands"

Awesome!! Like I said on another thread, Jermaine has come out with some beautiful songs (Tell Me Im Not Dreaming, Do What You Do, Don't Take it Personal), and I think he is very talent and has a beautiful singing voice. He could've put more effort into his own career instead of depending on Michael, Janet, or his mother. He is very ghetto in having all these kids from different women he cannot put in the lifestyle he is accustomed to. He needs to lose the fingerwaves and S Curl, invest in some Proactive, and make some more beautiful love songs he does so well. Not only that, most of Jermaine's music is just a little too sappy for me! Check me out and add me on:

If you still rockin a s-curled fade, you don't DESERVE love And especially when your face look so shiny like someone sprayed an oil can at his face. He gets no love a'la Faith Evans.

Well damn! His dance songs and early-'70s material was nice. I dig "Don't Take It Personal" though "Let's Get Serious" was his REAL hit. [Edited 10/13/07 23:18pm]

I wanna bash Jermaine over the head for MOST of the Arista stuff (don't even GET me started on "Dynamite" and his duets with Pia Zadora and Whitney ). But when he did "Don't Take It Personal", he tried to pull off his best Marvin Gaye vocal impersonation, lol! [Edited 10/13/07 23:22pm]

But I wonder if you hit him on the ground, would his head combust? I swore his hair looked as it glued itself on his head.

Personally I'm more inclined on his cover of "Daddy's Home" from his Motown days after "Let's Get Serious".

Yes, I agree. "Castle Of Sand" is great. Two other under-appreciated Jermaine tracks are "You'll See" and "You're Supposed To Keep Your Love For Me" (which is really a Stevie track with Jermaine singing on it ) “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

What about the classic "You Like Me don't you". That's song is evergreen. It's the type of song they play consistently on "Quiet Storm" radio. It's Jermaine at his very best.

CASTLE OF SAND http://youtube.com/watch?v=kLntRUG_3s4 Great track by Jermaine, from the "Frontiers " album!! That song was a Quiet Storm staple here in DC, back in the day.... ...
