It's Like 1986 All Over Again!

I'm currently obsessed with Roisin Murphy's new single, 'Let Me Know'.

It sounds like British club music circa 1986. This is exactly the kind of stuff I like - and nobody's been doing it for years.

You can buy the track here and here.

right now does feel like 86-87 overall, without the real mj doing his things, and relying on imposters

1986 makes me think of madonna true blue immediately, papa don't preach was my favourite song when I was about 3 or 4 years old in 86-87, and I remember hearing the tape often at my cousin's house

for years, all I played was madonna's videos from her first 3 albums and went on to discover her stuff since like a prayer few years down the road, though I sort of remember hearing them. Like a Virgin was my favourite album and I would play the record regularly in the late 80's and early 90's

I was little and loved madonna too, but was too afraid to tell anyone. I never really got in2 Live To Tell or Papa Dont Preach. But when Open Your Heart came out I went nuts.

Parts of Papa Dont preach was filmed right outside of my project building in Staten Island overlooking the city. I remember we couldnt go outside of the building, we had to go through the back.

It's too cool for school. I've got it open in another window but I'm not watching the video coz it sort of ruins the effect.
