I made this list because I'm psyched at getting a "Complete Collection of Hits" 4 disc set. this includes all the greatest hits and an interview and live version disc.
thumbs up!

My favorite is still "Allentown." I also like "Leave A Tender Moment Alone." His 70's stuff was a little better overall, though.

Without a doubt, "Say Goodbye to Hollywood. It's got such a great Phil Spector vibe to it (music-wise, not murder-wise). Only gripe: it always refuses to leave my head for days & days.

Only the Good Die Young--nice & fun, decent lyrics

Big Shot--Kind of typifies the whole attitude that I love & hate about Billy Joel

Just the Way You Are--overdone, but the song's become a standard

Still Rock & Roll to Me--He captured a cool vibe & sound with this song, something he rarely did

Moving Out--ak ak ak ak, what more could a person want from a song?

New York State of Mind--another standard, at home with Mel Torme as much as Billy

Say Goodbye to Hollywood--What the hell is up with his voice? He sounds like Ethel Merman!

Don't Ask Me Why--perfect pop

I just noticed that the end of Movin' Out is really similar to the end of Layla.

Funny, same here. Although the song that stays stuck in my head is "The Night is Still Young".
