Hard to say, it's a tie between James/Chaka, Aretha and Ray. They were all GREAT! I love Aretha and Ray's acting in that. Aretha being the boss bitch she is ("you ain't going NOWHERE without my husband!") and Ray actually nearly hitting the Blues Brothers with his shotgun. lol

Needless to say when James yell at Elwood "DO YOU SEE THE LIGHT!?!" I got choked up. touched

So I'm gonna have to say James! dove cool

Oh thats a hard one we all love the 2 movies in my house, so I have asked my 2 boys and they say the best is James brown
But a close second is:
Older one said Ray Charles
Younger one said Cab Calloway

As for me its' between James & Aretha hmmm I can not decide
