Stacey Q/SSQ? I recently picked up this Stacy Q GH CD with some tracks on it from before she became "Thee" Stacey Q with a project called SSQ. The tracks are hot. They have more of a new wave/synth pop vibe instead of the more dance pop stuff she did later on. Anyone else know about this? By the way, I love this chick. I wish she would make a come back. A former co-worker/friend of mine was her drummer...
...during the SSQ/Two Of Hearts phase. He was also co-producer of a similar Dance-Pop duo...

When I read "Heart and Soul," it made think of the group T'Pau. I still have Stacey Q's record that I won from a radio station.  I definitely remember "When We Kiss," that's on one of my homemade radio tapes.
Didn't Stacey Q appear on an episode of The Facts of Life? Also she was on Where Are They Now type show, but all I remember she looked very mellowed out at meditation retreat or something. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

I definitely remember "When We Kiss," that's on one of my homemade radio tapes.

I believe she appeared in two episdoes! I think in both cases she was trying to get discovered. One time it was an audition in NY that maybe Tootie (wasn't she the actress?) was a part of and hte other time I think she was in the same town with the girls and actually recorded a song. I think in both shows, she did a song for each....one time it was probably "Two of Hearts" and the other time "We Connect" (a minor hit). | |

Yeah BARDEUX was "when we kiss" and also "Magic Carpet Ride" that first album was great, but on the second album "SHANGRI-LA" they lost one girl and got this new girl who was just not good and the album disappeared and so did they.
