Top 10 favorite songs from The Brothers Johnson

George and Louis Johnson were the first act I followed when they first came on the scene and they still are one of my all-time favorite acts. Here are my 10 favorite songs from them:

2.) "Get the Funk Out Ma Face"
3.) "Strawberry Letter 23"
4.) "Runnin' for Your Lovin'"
5.) "Stomp!"

6.) "I'll Be Good to You"
7.) "Land of Ladies"
8.) "Tokyo"
9.) "Thunder Thumbs and Lightning Licks"
10.) "Q"
THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

Every cut from 'Look Out #1', 'Right On Time', 'Blam!!' and 'Light Up The Night'.

I was just surprised to see that his top five only had one cut outta their first four albums (their best work, imo).

Yeah, most of 'em are from that #5, Winners-- I always thought that was an underrated album, though...just my opinion...

What album was you keep me coming back from?
I remember they released a so so track around 1988 called kick it to
the curb. By this time, the brothers j seemed to have lost their golden touch.

"You Keep Me Coming Back" was from their 1984 album, "Out of Control"...
You're right, the 1988 album was called "Kickin", with the track, "Kick it to the Curb" --and that's just what most fans did, lol ...

Don't get me wrong, I love the first two albums, but I can listen to "Winners" any day , anytime. What's gets me,is that it was the first one that Quincy did NOT produce. I wish I can get it on CD. mad
