She's a famous young violinist from Singapore.

My dad travels to the Far East often for his business and of all the music he's brought back, this artist is his favorite.
I believe he said that she learned how to play all of Mozart's concertos at age 12.

She has revamped some classical pieces, but I believe she also writes her own as well.

she was featured on prince's "xpectation" project, wasn't she?

That wasn't the point I was trying to make at all.
I didn't start this thread because she collaborated with Prince. I had no knowledge of this.

Have you heard any of her music? (although you probably won't have heard any of the stuff my dad's heard cuz he got it all in the Far East)

I think she makes some of these classical songs sound so beautiful. Her talent is just amazing

I have her remake of "I Feel Love" on 12". Is that really her voice? The violin solo is great. There needs to be more of that and less singing.

I heard her play on a few talk shows years ago...she is an amazing musician and a very pretty girl!

My dad owns all of her albums (well except for Xpectation, I just found out from here).
He has a video DVD of a concert she did. And I swear that his eyes are glued to the screen when he watches her.
I get the same way when I watch Prince in "Purple Rain" or whatever else I'm watching with him in it.
