MESHELL: New album reviews & NEW LIVE CLIPS! if ya love Meshell Ndegeocello's music like i do...ya may wanna get over to...

I freakin' love the new album. It surpassed my expectations. She's on tour now and I believe she's gonna be in Chicago in November. Hmmm, road trip. Not far for me. I'm in northern Indiana. Just listened to it on the way home in the dark ~ loud ~ no street lights, just a rural lakeshore road, me and MeShell. It was my third listen but by far the best. An amazing album. Multi layered and intense. Part of it sounds like if Tricky had been abducted by aliens, part reminds me of Oumou Sangare and there is plenty of trademark MeShell in all of her manifestations. I love it all ~ track 7. Shirk, is emotionally shredding ~ it's had me in tears on each listen. Music is the language of the spirit.
