ROXANNE SHANTE?????

How many album's did she put out in the 80's?

What Jams did she have?

I can't stand this chick but I'm willing to listen and keep and Open mind.

Tell me why Roxanne Shante needs to be on the Hip Hop Honors show?

If you are gonna but Roxanne Shante on there, you have to include JJ Fad and Oaktown 357. lol

Roxxanne was battling since 13. she is the first to do it and have success. she put out several 12 inches that is what the song big mama is about. she just felt not credited properly. She was raw in her days before female mc's stepped on the scene. Even before salt and peppa. at that time only 12 inches were being put out on her and several were. If they can rep the men from that era why not a lady?

OH MY GOD! kool moe you were getting big in the late 90's...

DAYAM WHAT HAPPENED! he is the only one who just let himself go.

I think they should change the whole concept of the honors show. They should just showcase classic jams of the 1980's and 90's. Instead of honor groups have various groups perform classic jams. I like the idea of different artist of different eras working together. I would love to hear a Public Enemy song produced by Pharrell. So you would get lyrical content with slammin beats. Our maybe hear some classic jams remixed.

Rap music today has no lyrical content but I think the beats have gotten better. So if some of the classic jams could be remixed, that would make a slammin show.

They really need to rejuvenate the show other wise it will just get whacker and whacker. Who are they going to Tribute next Acorn or Tpainful to listen to. lol lol
