Jam of the Day: "Hot Stuff" by Raydio

Hot stuff
Hot stuff
You know you got some hot stuff

Raydio was great. Much better than Ray Parker, Jr.'s solo stuff. Give it up y'all.

I honestly don't think there was much distinction between Raydio and Ray Parker Jr. But "Hot Stuff" was a great jam (Parker produced a similar jam for Herbie Hancock in 1979, the instrumental "Ready or Not").
THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

thumbs up! This is a nice bass thumpin' LP. both slow cut 'Goin thru School And Love' and fast cut Hot Stuff have some thumpin' bass

headbang "What You Waitin' For"

I walked into the party
And there you stood
Standing against the wall
and lookin' good.

All the guy's
Asking you to dance
You turned up your nose
To signify no chance.

You oughta get up off that stuff.
Get up off of that stuff
Girl you know you oughta
Get up off of that stuff, 'mm.

Dance.. what you waitin' for
You ain't to good to move
so come on girl lets groove

Dance.. what you waitin' for
Come on girl
Get up off of your rump
And shake it to the funk.....

What was an innocent expression of love back then would now be called a stalker's anthem. lol

Throw up your hands if you're old enuff
and you got some hot stuff.
headbang

Yes this is when raydio was funkin! There wasn't a whole lot of distinction
between their songs but the uptempo stuff was jammin back in the day.
Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint
