An assistant's experience with Michael Jackson
http://axecollectorblog.b...dness.html My Brush With Badness Sunday, October 07, 2007 A few weeks ago, I was at a staff meeting for new employees where everyone in the room was asked to mention one interesting thing about themselves that nobody else would know. I waited patiently 'til my turn came around, and then calmly explained how Michael Jackson once sent me to J.C. Penney to buy him underwear. Just the first lines made me Thank you soooo much for this. I love reading Mj stories and this one was hilarious. Bboy, was it your personal experience, or is it someone else´s? BTW, what is an INK PIN? "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

An ink 'pin' is a spelling error by MJ because he doesn't know how to spell 'pen'. White Americans, what? Nothing better to do? Why don't you kick yourself out? You're an immigrant too. -White Stripes

Do you think his bad spelling (it's a well known fact he is a very bad speller) and the fact that he can't drive properly go hand in hand? Probably he has very bad eye sight and he has never bother to get an eye test.

Back in 1989, I was a fresh-faced college grad in Los Angeles searching for my first job. Since I was one of the six people that year who actually went to college just to learn how to work in a recording studio, I had no problem landing a position at one of the major studios in Hollywood. Of course, even with an expensive college degree, you couldn't just expect to start off working with bands inside the building, because that required actual EXPERIENCE, which of course was what everyone else was out getting while I was pursuing my worthless degree. Instead, they stuck me out in the parking shack across the street for two months. Strangely enough, I had some experience in this area, as I had spent the summer working as a valet in a garage near Fenway Park. I've lifted my personal ban on MJ thread participation this once. Cool story. Not just the MJ part, but the reality of a path one may have to take to actually get from the class room to the control room. Lemme guess. Based on the parking lot they had him in (next to the very fine book store, Opamp Technical Books), and proximity (1032 & 1033), his first "studio gig" was at the Record Plant on N.Sycamore? tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 10/9/07 14:18pm] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I remember Janet saying the same thing [that Michael can't drive]. Its cute, lol. White Americans, what? Nothing better to do? Why don't you kick yourself out? oh, ok. I don´t wanna start a new thread about this, but Mike send a personal message to all his fans. You can read it here. http://www.steady-laughin.../slcom.htm Hopefully we´ll hear the exciting news soon as he promises.
