One of the few girl groups I really really liked. 5 Miles to Empty, Grapevyne, If You Love Me, I Can't Tell You Why, Don't Cry For Me, were my favorites.

Tehy might as well reunite... there's no good girl group out right now.

I absolutely looooovvvvveeeee Brownstone!!!! I have both of their albums; vocally I think they were the strongest girl group of the nineties, their harmonies were flawless and I just liked the overall vibe of their group. I hope they actually do record and kick out some good music, I was heartbroken back in the day when they broke up, but now they have the potential to make some serious noise. Gee I'm all giddy now. lol

They sound kind of like En Vogue. But they are very good. "5 Miles To Empty" is the jam.

Finally a Girl Group with Vocals.....We hav'nt had a girl group out to really kick the vocals and all.....I am waiting Brownstone.....Then it HAS to be EnVogue's turn to do the damn thing and if they both can tour together it would be billed sisters in the name of SOUL tour. Congrats to Brownstone on their triumphant return!

I am witcha on that. Brownstone was good but they were probably a notch below envogue. I would list jade a notch above brownstone as well.

I liked them a lot nod Hated to see them fade away. Sad thing is had the lead singer been more "slim" I bet they would have been able to stick around a bit longer, I really think people let all that sex appeal business get in the way. She still had a cute face & the real bottom line is those girls could SING exclaim

I love Brownstone but nobody can touch En vogue

I have good memories of the 90's, a decade where all the rnb acts (beside Janet and TLC) could really sing and a time when it was impossible for all those half talented blue eyed soul artists to have a chance ... lol

If you haven't already done so, please check out Nicci Gilbert's solo album. One of the best R&B albums of the last few years. Without a doubt my favorite of 2005.

I didn't know you were really asking, I took it more as a comment giggle comfort That movie reminded me of how much I liked that song, had to get the soundtrack. I have their second album (had to have 5 Miles to Empty) but I never got their first album - how good is it?

Let's see who answers my question hmmm

I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back.
I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there.
I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish.
