And sadly, her insane and irrational success changed EVERYTHING in Music. Major labels are more inclined to sign more and more talentless hoes over real artists to repeat Madonna's success... And now we have it. The market is completely dominated by these "so called artists like Pink, Fergie, Gwen, Britney, Pussycat Dolls, and all that crap. Madonna started ALL that shit. Without Madonna, I strongly believe that Music would have been MUCH BETTER... |

She's shown more progression and development in her work than any other pop artist out there (aside from David Bowie perhaps) and she has the hits and sales to back it up. You dont happen to sell 200million records if your an accident - just because you dont get it doesn't mean its not real. I’m not saying she's a prodigious musical talent, an amazing singer, or an amazing dancer - but she does all pretty well. Diana Ross was never an amazing singer - not even the best in the Supremes - didn’t write her own stuff, but do these charges ever get leveled at her??? Well yes they do, but strangely not by you because apparently Madonna started all that shit. You say the music industry was never about business????? The music industry has always been full of cynical managers, producers and writers who want certain singers to sing their stuff because it means more $. Until she writes and produces for other people, and writes and produces several songs on her own albums BY HERSELF, I am going to assume that the orgers who are in the music business are correct about the shadiness surrounding co-writing and co-producing credits, in particular to artists such as Madonna, Beyonce, and Justin Timberlake. Other than that, I think The Immaculate Collection is fun, brilliant dance music. Her best album. Madonna, imo, is the greatest singles artist of the past 25 years. Overrated, yes. But continues to provide fun dance music. | |

She is an inspiration to all those with very limited talent. They see someone who ain't the best of singer, is an OK dancer (she was a dance Student for God sake so she should be good there) and not much of a song writer, yet with lots of hard work and self-promotion she has made it big time and achieved longevity. | |
