Can't Remember her name

ok, who was the musician from the 80's nad 90's that sounded alot like Sheryl Crow? For the life of me I can't even conjure up her image. She sang that song where she basically talks about her lover being with someone else and has that line where she is talking about the scratches down his back...argh, this is driving me nuts!

nope..but that gave me an aha, i think it was Alanis Morissette..going to scope it. that song has been running through my mind, and you know when you think about something to hard you can't recall it, even though you know it...LOL
