My seven year old girl likes Hannah Montana. I wouldn't buy her a ticket to a concert, but it's fine that she watches the show. | |

Unless you have teen/tween girl in your sphere, you aren't going to get the Hannah Montana experience. But Miley Cyrus is the real deal when it comes to selling tickets.
For instance, she holds the all-time attendance record at Houston's Reliant Stadium. She sold more than 72,000 tickets. That's right - more than SEVENTY-TWO THOUSAND. She is the embodiment of the Disney Game Plan. Every three or four years, they break a new 13-ish star. Five years ago it was Hillary Duff. Last year it was Miley Cyrus. In between, they put out tween acts like the Cheetah Girls and the Jonas Brothers. | |

The lesson is: JOIN THE FANCLUB. Fanclub members got to buy tickets early. In Houston, fanclub members bought something like 12,000 of the 16,000 available tickets. If you weren't in the fanclub, you probably didn't get tickets. Fanclub memberships are cheap compared to what you'd have to pay a scalper to get tickets. | |
