How is the New Siouxsie? I love Into The Swan!

Can't wait to hear the new Kylie!

no no no! Don't diss Queen Bitch! Her career will never be over!mad

The Cure double album is really a single one. The "double" will be limited. Though I'll bet every single fan will buy the LTD edition. I think they should just say F It we're officially doing a double album. It better be good! I have not felt the last 2 Cure albums. So drab and dreary!

The eighth studio album by The Cult arrives October 2nd!

Legendary alternative rock band The Cult return with all guns blazing on their eighth studio album, their first in six years. Reminiscent of earlier works Love and Electric, the album sees the band returning to their rock roots while embracing several modern sonic elements in many of the songs.

Produced by Youth (Killing Joke, The Verve) and mixed by Clive Goddard (Primal Scream, Madonna), the album is instantly recognizable Cult from Billy Duffy's first guitar chord to the first notes that escapes Ian Astbury's lips.

A classic album from The Cult that features everything the band is known for: groove-laden guitar riffs, searing leads, giant choruses, soaring vocals and a whole load of attitude.

Over twenty years into their career and over 10 million albums sold, Born Into This, shows one of rock's first true Alternative bands delivering a seminal album at the top of their game.

And also out the same day....

"Songs of Mass Destruction" from Annie Lennox!

Pet Shop Boys' "Disco 4" (Sept. 25th)
Remastered reissues of Depeche Mode's "Excited" and "Ultra" (also Oct.2nd)
and... 3 remastered/reissued/expanded Joy Division "Unknown Pleasures," "Closer," and "Still"

I heard that Madonna's CD has been delayed until early 2008.She still has several more songs she wants to record and a few more people she wants to collaborate with.

I like four songs on Mantaray. The rest I find very mediocre. Maybe it will grow on me.

Isn't the Cure album pushed back until next year?

My upcoming purchases:

September 25th:
Nellie Mckay - Obligatory Villagers

October 2nd:
Felix da Housecat - Virgo Blaktro & The Movie Disco
PJ Harvey - White Chalk
The Pipettes - We Are The Pipettes
(U.S. edition)
Siouxsie - Mantaray

November 13th:
Alicia Keys - As I Am

I can't think of anything else right now.

I can't wait for this one either:

The inimitable Dave Gahan makes a dynamic return with Hourglass - his eagerly awaited second solo album. Best known as the iconic frontman of Depeche Mode, he continues his impressive career with a blazing new side-project, which follows his critically acclaimed solo debut Paper Monsters.

It comes out October 23rd!

PRIVATE / My Secret Lover [OCTOBER]

PRIVATE is the splinter group of three members from the former Danish band Superheroes -- Thomas Troelsen [lead vocalist, producer], Asger Tarpgaard og Tanja Simonsen. People outside of DK may know some of Thomas' work since he was the man behind Junior Senior's breakthrough LP D-D-D-Don't Stop The Beat -- and their biggest hit "Move Your Feet." This is his newest group's debut LP.

Robocop Kraus / Blunders & Mistakes

There's an album cut I really like here called "Chances." Plus there's an acerbic bent to this album that I'm kinda finding delicious. Crossing my fingers for an early '08 tour.

Muscles / Guns Babes Lemonade

Comes out in the US on Oct 16. Currently having my mini-church session to "Sweaty." And I'm going to see him live next month during the whole CMJ blitz w/ NYPC & SMD.
