Bad Brains in LA on 9-26!!! Anybody goin tomorrow besides me?
We haven't had a proper Brains gig in these parts for many many years, and I hear they're pulling out the ballbusters from their first couple records at recent gigs. I'm REALLY excited, never got the chance to see them in the hardcore heyday and balked at seeing the lineups with the different vocalist. Just thinking about it I'm ready to jump over my desk and get a pit going on the sidewalk. Anybody else down for the Big Takeover?

No love for Bad Brains on the org!
Y'all don't know what yer missing! Show was a mindblow. Punk, metal and reggae, all on the same stage but NOT IN A BLENDER. HR's not on the ceiling all night like he used to be, but still singing well & the band is devastating.

New stuff is very exciting. It's a good record, right back in the vein of Quickness and I Against I. And they played those songs better than the oldest ones.
HR stands very still these days, and some songs are dropped to a lower octave. Everybody else is playing at the same level you;re used to seeing. Definitely don't miss it if they come round again!
