GREAT DANCE/ROCK ALBUM!!! This is the record that inspired David Bowie to call on Nile Rodgers to produce 'Let's Dance'. If you can hang with Debbie Harry's 'KooKoo' or Sister Sledge's 'Love Somebody Today', you'll like this. It's CHIC gone new wave with a very heavy-accented French singer. Lots of experimental stuff going on here. A great listen for the adventurous type. "Spacer" alone is well worth the admission fee. If you're looking for the typical R&B/Disco-based CHIC sound...look elsewhere. If you have a choice between vinyl or CD,,,get vinyl. The CD sounds like it was copied from a store-bought audio cassette of the album; sped up and off pitch. [Edited 9/28/07 16:48pm]

There was a thread on "the org" recently about 'KooKoo'. IMHO it's not among any of the participants' best work. Buy it cheap.
