A bunch of albums came out on the 25th

Queen Latifah

(featuring a remake of "Betcha Got A Chick On The Side hmm )

Joni Mitchell

Meshell Ndegeochello

Chaka Khan

Keyshia Cole

all music had the nerve to almost make this album a CLASSIC??? Lawd..then the whole review is based on comparisons to Mary J...(which is a far cry). That album is a *** out of 5. Too many slow tempo tunes. There are some good cuts, "Got To Get My Heart Back" "Let It Go" "Was It Worth It" "Give Me More", but the rest kinda falls in the same R&B category unfortunatley. Its just ok.

I heard samples from Chaka and it sounds incredible. Can't wait to pick it up. Circuit City has most (if not all) of the new releases for $9.99 and CHaka's has a bonus track!

BTW, some which weren't even listed...I think the big one is a country CD (Rascall Flatts or something...it will probably be the number one disc) and also not listed is Melissa Etheridge's first release after overcoming breast cancer..good for her!

Oh, and this!

Discuss....Maybe I'm being a stiff, but at the very least, a good candidate for worst album cover ever (hopefully this is not on vinyl, though). At worst, the end of civilization!

I mentioned Melissa Etheridge! It's her best album ever...I have lived with it for 2 days now and I play it beginning to end...quite a story...very moving, reflective...we need more artists like her!

Damn! I was just on Itunes and noticed they had a pretty healthy MeShell catalog (nearly everything, I think). I sampled around. I actually don't have any of her albums....Recommendations for the first? "Cookie" looks good and funky.

Again, if you're still looking for Chaka's, Circuit City! Even online probably has the same price and maybe free shipping.

I didn't see your post (it might not have been up).

Glad to hear she made a good album. Hope it finds a decent sized audience.

Cool. That thing is that is great about an artist like MeShell who had some albums that sold decently is you can probably find used copies for very good prices . Later ones, probably not.
