I like him alot, and yes he def. is the only rapper thats positive and can be commerial at the same time. The other positive dudes are nice, but they dont have the same UMPH! that Kanye has. His energy and his ego MAKE you either love him or hate him.

After seeing him live on the Confessions tour I was really impressed. The best rap act I ever seen without a whole bunch of people on stage..just him. Except when he had a chior for Jesus Walks, and the crowd went crazy when he started dancing..

and for his own tracks like Toy Soldiers sampling martika... sounded pretty good
But em also had good writing and the beat itself would be able to stand by itself without the sample...
Kanye can't rap... iight let me just say it he can't...
And its not even because he's slow...

its just that his style is jumbled and makes phrases that sound rediculous...
what kanye could do is make a good ass hook that sticks in your head for weeks...

get me the most basic home studio and i can "produce" what kanye does. damn, i already have the old songs and i can rap as monotonously as he does.

i just don't see the hype. his borrowed beats and tracks are entertaining, though. i'll give him that much.

that's funny...apparently he's the musical guest on SNL. he's on right now and proving my point about his being incredibly monotonous. and out of tune monotonous at that.

He's also a dorky dancer.

Kanye does have talent, but he has no idea what to do with it. Bitching and moaning and acting arrogant all the time gets stale mighty fast. He's boring and predictible IMO.

I don't think he is that great of an MC, but I wouldn't say he's talentless. I think he makes good music (or is good at sampling older music rather lol) and he's a pretty good producer. He has talent.
