WHO U CALLIN' A DIVA!?!?!?!?!

Question...Why is it that every female singer nowadays is called or given the title "DIVA"??? Ever since divas live on Vh1 aired..everybody's a diva...:PUKE: Yes, there are some who I would say could do justice and deserve such a title...but very few. Care to name a few?? Let's see who's the ultimate diva by seeing which artist appears the most on this list!! worship sexy worship
p.s. and who are some artist being called a DIVA that shouldn't be??

actually, they are called divas. it's not just about your voice. it's your attitude.

but i agree, the word diva is overused. so is the word genius, as in the musical kind.

VANITYSprisonB
YTCH

Barbra Streisand
Kathleen Battle
Aretha
Diana Ross
Patti LaBelle
Whitney Houston
Liza Minelli
Maria Callas (well she was in the true definition of the word as K. Battle)

NOT DIVAS

-J.LO
-Britney, Christina, Mandy Moore, Nelly F (they're all one to me)
-Celine & Mariah (great voices...and probably the closest to being considered true Divas)
-Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes
Every minute of last night is on my face today....

Poor suby, always wrote what she just have read somewhere
Maria Callas (I can't name others opera's famous "female singer" well K Battle, Barbara Hendrix...) , Ella, Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holiday, Astrud Gilberto, Chaka Khan, Diana Ross (too bad her end of career is a disaster, Aretha, (I wouldn't say Tina Turner), Anita O'Day..., maybe Diana Krall time will tell, same thing for the young Norah Jones...

Nope! GweQ it is! Better than GweX and GweZ, isn't it? wink I must agree that Diva is among the most humble people I have met. She gives the word "diva" a whole new meaning, kind of like Annie Lennox did as well.
