will.i.am - Songs About Girls; samples on YouTube sound good! http://www.youtube.com/wa...2iHAH-3938
There's about a minute of each song. It's not every song from the album, but it's a large portion of it. Heartbreaker, It's Over, Get Your Money, One More Chance, Invisible and Fantastic are good. Fantastic samples J5 (I Want You Back). I'm pretty sure Get Your Money is a sample too, but I can't pick it. Anyway, it sounds like a good album. Worth checking out. ,.

I already have it "Fly Girl" is the song they played during MJ's Access Hollywood interview, but Michael's not on the song "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Just downloaded the leak. I love this album man. I'd go as far as saying it's the best R&B/hip-hop album since Gnarles Barkley's St Elsewhere.
I really love It's Over. That song has to be a single. I also love Heartbreaker, Got It From My Mama, Get Your Money, One More Chance, Invisible and Aint It Pretty. This is a great record. My only critism is the last track SOS. On an album that he describes as a concept album about every relationship he's ever had, he throughs in a heal-the-world song. It just doesn't fit. If he really wanted the song on the album he could've listed it as a bonus track. That way the album can still be called a concept of sorts. I also love the fact that will.i.am said that when he was working with Michael, any song Michael didn't like will would "drag over to the will folder". That means Michael's new music will be better than will's music. That sheds some positive light on the album IMO. Also note the song "Fly Girl" from Will's album was originally intended for Mike. In a video interview done November 2006 in the studio with Mike and Will, they played the instrumental of that song saying it was new Mike material. Obviously it's one that Mike didn't like and was dragged over to the Will folder. I like the beat and the guitar in that song, but the melody Will put with it is boring. That's what makes me so excited to hear Mike/Will material. Will makes good music. He's beats are great. He can write music to make you dance, or to make you pay attention. He's talented that way. Mike, on the other hand, is a great melody writer. Give him a beat made by Will and Mike could write a great melody to go with it. Will's beats + Mike's melodies = Great songs!

I like heartbreaker and it's over. It's over is hot. I would like to give the rest a second listen before making an opinion. Right off hand no other song just jumped out and grabbed me. Don't laugh at my funk

I'm not usually impressed with what he does either. It's usually a big Puff Daddy type loop. Hell, I did more with "Mardi Gras" than Will.I.Am did on the end of "From My Mama".

http://www.youtube.com/wa...B2z6H9ej9U That's it. I still have the 12" that I bought 20 years ago. It's one of the few novelty songs I really like. Normally, I don't like mixing funny with my music. I'm a very serious guy.

Many speak very highly of him, but I think he's done himself a discredit by writing the crap he writes for the BEP's.

"Don Quixote and Sancho Panza Today, also they continue fighting Dance, little fool" (translated) And then there's the phone conversation: "Hello, can I speak to mister Don Quichotte, please? No señor, Don Quixote y Sancho Panza no están aquí!" ...which on the 12" keeps going on until the woman is screaming in Spanish at the englishman that they aren't there in a high-pitched voice. Maybe my definition of a novelty song is wrong.

The album starts with 'Over' using one of my favourite Electric Light Orchestra Songs, 'It's Over'. Very infectuous and probably a big hit, don't know what to think of it though. The original is a classic.
I like 'One More Chance' and 'Heartbreaker' , nice tracks. His collabo with Mikey J is interesting, hope it won't take too long before it gets released. It's been more than a years since they were in the studio.....

If he uses samples creatively like he did in HIStory then I wont mind. I love his use of samples in the song HIStory and also Little Susie. That is much more creative then just rapping over an EWF horn riff or something.
