It's groovy and it speaks the truth even in 2007. Brothers like me still have quite a difficulty catching a cab in NYC.

Although I've never bought an album by Lenny, this song is one of my favorites. When a track is done just right, its relevant for years after its release. The line that stands out for me has always been " Mr. Cab driver, FUCK YOU ! I'm a survivor " , damn that's funkay.

Lenny's first cd was excellent. In fact, his first 5 cd's are pretty damn good. the last two were below average, but I still really enjoy his first 5 releases. I hope his new cd is good. I'm looking forward to it.

Stereotypes/Racial profiling haven't changed despite the renovation and new tenates such Clinton in Harlem. Interesting how the more things change the more things stay the same. Of course , NYC is different than a hick town like Houston.
