Tal Wilkenfeld - Transformation

For those that may not remember, this is the 23 year old that played bass with Jeff Beck at the recent Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago...

...Tal & Jeff doing Cause We've Ended As Lovers (video link). Well she's got an album out.

Born in Sydney Australia, Tal has now resided in the US for over 5 years. She originally set foot on American soil as a guitar player, and less than four years ago, she started playing the bass guitar. Instantly, she was offered an endorsement with Sadowsky guitars, and since then, has played bass behind Jeff Beck, Chick Corea, Hiram Bullock, Vinnie Colaiuta, the Allman Brothers Band, Wayne Krantz, Kenwood Dennard, Geoffrey Keezer, Russell Ferrante, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Eric Krazno, Susan Tedeschi, and John Beasley. in May 2006, Tal recorded her first album, where she composed, arranged, produced and played bass on 7 intricate tracks with Wayne Krantz on guitar, Keith Carlock on drums, Geoffrey Keezer on Piano, and Seamus Blake on tenor sax. Later in 2006, Tal also worked with Rickey Minor on a few projects in Los Angeles, and did a clinic at bass day alongside Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke and Victor Wooten. In 2007, Tal went to Australia to play a series of gigs with Chick Corea (with Frank Gambale on guitar and Antonio Sanchez on drums), released her debut album "Transformation", and toured with Jeff Beck, with Vinnie Colaiuta on drums, and Jason Rebello on keyboard.

Dude, The still of her from NAMM, where she's seated in front of the rigs: I've seen the YouTube from that...

She's dueting with Marcus Miller.

And, she's killing it. Holdin' her own.
