Unlike U2 and Michael Jackson, Madonna does not own her own music. She should use this potential deal with Live Nation as a bargaining chip to get her masters.

Would be smart and so is Madonna. She'll do the right thing (which I hope is also the right thing for the fans as well). I think somebody needs to get to Madonna and have her realize that her backcatalog is important, too important for half ass releases like "Video Collection 1993-1999", GHV2 and those recent CD/DVD bundles, which are great as DVDs, I'll grant you but skimp out big time on when it comes to being a CD release. They totally fuck up on that count with sketchy track and skmipy tracklisting.

I can imagine it: Warner Brothers issues a compilation EVERY TIME Madonna releases a new album, in an attempt to confuse her fanbase.

cool

Considering how severely Live Nation manages to squeeze every possible cent out of a concert tour, often to the detriment of the fans, I can't believe anyone thinks this is a good thing. Well, besides the people who stand to profit from it.

Record labels can be trouble, sure, but no one seems to believe that the alternative could be any worse.

Well it would be more sure that there will be a dvd of the show released everytime.

I so hope she ditches Warner, but not in vengeful way. She still puts out great music but they have not chosen the best singles for her. For example, when she put out "Music," she wanted "Impressive Instant" to be released but they refused. She wanted the whole American Life album to be called "Hollywood" and to have "Hollywood" released as the first single. If things happened that way, she wouldn't have experienced the backlash she did during that period. COADF was great and "Hung Up" was a good choice as a first single. But "Jump" should have been the second single. That is an awesome song.

Warners sometimes chooses the wrong singles, although most of the time, they get it right.'Confessions' is one example where they picked all the right singles.Even Madonna was impressed with how they handled that record.

with 'Ray Of Light',they should have chosen "Sky Fits Heaven" and "Drowned World/Substitute For Love" as the third and fourth singles. It's ridiculous that those songs weren't released as singles.

with 'Music',they should have released "Impressive Instant" as the fourth single, and "Gone" as the fifth and final single.

with 'American Life',they probably should have released "Nobody Knows Me" as the second single (with a strong video).

I'm just nit-picking here lol

I usually double the US dollar when comparing it to the pound; so it would be around 100 million in the US currency.
