eek Can you explain? I know about the accident but what's all this selling to the devil bidniss about? I never knew details hmmm

DOC was on the verge of being the dopest rapper, regardless of style and coast. His single is blowing up and his star is rising, then he gets into a car accident and the ONLY thing that happens to him is his vocal chords get PERMANENTLY damaged and his career as a rapper is pretty much over.

Now if that's not selling your soul for some quick success - to have the ONE THING that makes you popular and earn ya paper taken away from you in a freak accident - then I don't know what is. In fact, Snoop should thank the fuck outta the DOC everytime he sees him, because had DOC not gotten his chords jacked, there would have been no need for Dre to go out and find Snoop.

nod Agreed. DOC ghost writing ability put Snoop and his crew on the map during the Chronic/Death Row phase. It was tragic about his descent after the accident because his unique flava was bonifide and on point.

And DOC was/is a helluva writer. His ass is ALL over The Chronic, some credited and some not credited.

He was already the West Coast's answer to (but not equal of) Rakim when he had his accident. He would have been much bigger than Snoop, Em or any of the other "prote-Dres."

See, THAT'S what the fuck I'm talkin about! THAT'S a muthafuggin top 10 list! thumbs up!

CL Smooth and Common are super wack. They are not better than Biggie or Pac. Hell they they're not better than Eminem, 50 Cent, Ice Cube, Mack 10, Ice-T, Kool Moe Dee, Heavy D, or Too Short. Man! You even have Q-Tip on your list. I like him but top ten? disbelief

Since I was a rap from the very beginning and witnessed its growth over the years, I have heard many MC's spit the mike. Some great. Some cool. Some alright. And some horrible. I want to lay down my favorite rappers of all time. Starting with Pac. No one is better than him. My whole list is:
1. 2Pac
2. Rakim
3. Ice Cube
4. Eminem
5. Biggie
6. Big Daddy Kane
7. Lil' Kim
8. Nas
9. Chuck D
10. LL Cool J
Honarable mention to Run-DMC because they work better together and not alone.

To all the haters and players out there. Due to a mishap on my part, my list has been revised slightyly with LL Cool J holding down the #10 slot. Peace!

IMHO? OV-er-RA-ted!!!

When he said he was a better MC than Jay-Z it was the funniest statement I read from an "MC" since Will Smith said he was the greatest rapper. Jigga would annihilate that kid on the mic.

Don't hate because I know my stuff. I'm an international lover of music (as well as love). And I know great music and great rhymes when I here them. I don't buy every rap aritst that comes on the market like you. If that was the case, where's Black Sheep or Special Ed?
