But still No Bootsy You keep on hollering "Bootsy" every thread and I'm going to keep on hollering "Rick James Tribute Episode" and "Barkays". I bet Don's holding those to show right before he starts his new season. He's trying to keep us watching and waiting. If he keeps up with these damn late 80s episodes though, I'm not going to be watching much longer. Bring on the good ones Don! . . [Edited 9/24/07 8:16am] Andy is a four letter word.

The Fifth Dimension; Al Wilson; Formula IV. 11-03-2007 Kool & the Gang; Al Wilson; the Natural Four. 10-27-2007 The Staple Singers; Bunny Sigler. 10-20-2007 Sylvia; the Moments; Ecstasy, Passion & Pain. 10-13-2007 These look like 1970s episodes. I can't tell though because a lot of 70s artists made unsuccessful attempts at comebacks in the 1980s. Does anyone know for sure. I hope they are 1970s episodes. Vanity; Kool Moe Dee; Angela Winbush; Ronald Isley. 10-06-2007
Rose Royce; Chico DeBarge; Jody Watley. 09-29-2007 I've said it before and I'll say it again. I really think Don or whoever is choosing these episodes are reading our comments. You can do a yahoo or google search for "The Best Of Soul Train" and our threads will come up. Look at all the episodes they have showed so far.....The Time, Vanity 6, Sheena Easton, Sheila E. Now they are getting ready to show Vanity and Jody Watley (produced by Andre Cymone). This is prince.org and from searching the inernet, it looks like we are the biggest supporters of the old episodes. We bitched months ago about not wanting any late 80s episodes and they went back to the 70s and worked their way back up. I've bitched about wanting episodes from 1979 and 1980. Suddenly they show so many episodes from that era that we started getting some of the same songs played two weeks in a row. Now we're bitching about late 80s episodes and it looks like they are getting ready to go back to the 70s. It definately looks like they are reading our posts so, by all means, if you don't like something....bitch about it.....and if you do like something.....praise it. . . . [Edited 9/24/07 7:03am] Hopefully they will read this and give me some barkays-Move your boogie body Don't laugh at my funk

It's like it is the episodes are well into the 80s now, hence the dullness. By the way has Soul Train ended now and if it has when did it end.

The only Barkays performance I have is "Son of Shaft" on the "Watstaxx" DVD. I need some more for my video collection. Andy is a four letter word.

They were supposedly going to start the new episodes in September, which is this month. I see there are classic episodes listed up into November. Hopefully the new episodes won't be back. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Andy is a four letter word.

You know Prince doesn't want any of his stuff aired. Hell, he's trying to shut down all the websites that have his videos. Andy is a four letter word.

Knowing Don, he is going through and showcasing his favorite episodes along with trying to spotlight actors/actresses that went on to be successful after dancing on ST. Since TBOST started airing, we have seen Jermaine Stewart, Jody Watley, Rosie Perez, Vivica A. Fox, Michelle (the girl from Family Matters and The Cosby Show), among others. As for Prince, he is probably glad these "classic" performances are airing because it will spark interest in his back catalog (including The Time, Vanity 6, etc. because he still gets paid from those songs too). **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I'm waiting for any James Brown episode from the 70's, why Don hasn't shown any of those is beyond me

Not only James but: Stevie ('73) Marvin Isley Brothers Little Richard Jackie Wilson Temptations Diane Supremes Martha & the Vandellas Al Green (I only saw him on the '74 episode and wanna see the full episodes he was on for '71, '72, '73, etc.) The Pointer Sisters More Rick James Labelle Just about all these groups. I don't care about some of the late-'80s acts like Genobia Jeter (scoffs... she's a good singer but that was a bad song) and that "girl group" that claimed they wanted to be the Supremes or some shit like that. I think they were on with Freddie Jackson, lol.
