No matter what, this chart record will never be broken

All records are made to be broken, and as many have, from sales to chart debuts to now Mariah closing in on the #1's record. THIS chart record will NEVER be broken, i dont care who thinks it will, because it will never be and honestly i dont think anyone will come close.

From 1970-1999 Singer/Musician Elton John charted at least ONE single in the top 40 every year during that period. Stretching from "Your Song" to "Written in the Stars" Elton did it at least once every year in most cases he had mutliple top 40's giving him close to 70. But in this day and age of media, on NO singles anymore and no one really being able to maintain longevity or at least an interesting output, the record of 30 straight years with at least one top 40 hit in each one will NEVER be broken.

I call B.S. on this record. disbelief Not that you are wrong about Elton John, but what about Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" being on the Billboard 200 Albums chart for 16+ consecutive years! (That's right. YEARS.) That's a record that absolutely will never be broken.

True but alot of albums since then would still be on the charts but Billboard changed the rule and now because of the "catalog" albums chart this cant happen. If this chart didnt exist, they have said Acdc's "Back in Black" would still be on the chart. So its not that Floyd's mark isnt something impressive, but it cant happen because the rules where changed.
