Any Steve Vai Fans In The House?

An org buddy of mine just turned me on to his music, and I gotta say, I'm quite enjoying it. I never knew what an exellent guitar player he was, until now. I had heard of him before, but never really paid attention, I guess. giggle
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

He´s one of my favourite Guitar Players and he´s great live. Of his albums, I like "Passion & Warfare" the most. "Flexable", "Alien Love Secrets" and "The Ultra Zone" are good as well. His newer albums are not THAT great.
See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star...

Thanks for the heads-up, I appreciate it. As someone who is just learning about him, it's good to know which CDs are the best ones. smile

I enjoy his Frank Zappa period...

...Discussing his audition (video clip)

He had so much respect for Zappa as a musician/composer, on his album...

...The Ultra Zone he wrote a song for him - Frank (video montage)

nod Indeed. The depth was raw and experimental.

Here's his bio. I never knew until recently that he took guitar lessons from Joe Satriani.

I love Steve. He is a guitar genius. I have every SV album. I think his best album is "Passion & Warfare". He also has an amazing bass player in his regular band: Billy Sheehan. Best bass player I ever heard.

Check out the 'Tender Surrender' video in my signature.

Great axe player with some physical appeal going with the suit action.Interesting deviation from his typical look, I'll give him that.
