That's how I felt about their first album. Everyone was raving over it, but I found it to be just okay. This one I really like. However, that was just after one listen so my opinion could change.

it's the same as the first album, though! it's like what that chick on SNL said about the black ghostbuster: "he don't do nothing!" i mean, maybe one day it'll click for me or maybe it'll sound more distinctive in concert, but it just sounds like a rehash so far. i hope i come around - i've been excited for this all summer. pout

That's what all the reviews said, so I resisted buying it since I felt blah about Thunder, Lightning, Strike. Then I heard a few songs and to me it's like the band took the few good tracks from the first album and made another whole CD of them. Maybe if I were to listen to their first record again, I'd suddenly really like it. lol
