Which BOWIE album should I get next?

Been getting into his back catalogue for a few years and am back in the mood for him.

I currently have:

Diamond Dogs
Young Americans
Station To Station
Low
Scary Monsters
Let's Dance
Outside
Earthling
Hours...
Heathen
Reality
Best Of Bowie

My favourites are Low, Heathen and Station To Station. I love his funkier side (songs like Golden Years and Stay)... I also love his OTT big piano ballads like Word On A Wing, Sweet Thing etc.

What should I get next?

I also have Black Tie White Noise... which is 45 minutes of my life I will never get back.

The less said about that album the better.

If you love Station To Station and Low, you must have "Heroes".

Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane are essential to any collection as well.

And I like Black Tie, White Noise!

Listen to Gangstafam, then get Brian Eno's Here Come The Warm Jets.

mushy

It's like Low's twin.

But rockier. And weirder. But still related. Love it.

Good stuff.

And definitely get Lodger. It's an odd duck, but a really rewarding one if you give it the time.

you don't have heroes or lodger? get one of them. like gangsta said, if you have low and station to station you need to get one of the two.

i think 'hunky dory' is pretty essential, but you might not have the bug for his old stuff yet...

Well, I do really love Diamond Dogs too... what year was that?

What album is After All on? I know Tori Amos's version which I love and have never heard Bowie's.

Diamond Dogs was '74.

"After All" was on The Man Who Sold The World.
