Just curious about the org's opinion about these two.

Both are great in their own ways.

But who's the better dancer?

In terms of variety, I'd have to give it to Janet. She seems to have the most classical training and seems to be able to do different styles of dance.

Mike is great, but in terms of pure dancing ability (not talent -- because Michael seems otherworldly naturally talented), Janet shows more stuff on stage.

Bottom line is Janet and Michael possess the ability to perform to a much higher standard than their peers, and THAT is what separates them from their siblings (and many others).

Ah, it's a matter of personal preference then. Michael is a great dancer.

But he does the same stock moves in every video. Spin, grab crotch, right leg kick, moon-walk, stand on toes, lean to the left. It's gotten so that there are DVDs of people who can teach you all of Mike's signature moves. The problem of course is that Mike hasn't changed his moves in years. Every show looks the same. Janet may not have Big Bro's steps (and definitely his voice), but she makes her stuff look different every time out of the gate.

Michael Jackson does not have only five moves.

Check out performances from the '60s and '70s in particular. His most popular dance moves from the '80s and '90s are so ingrained in popular culture, that it is difficult to understand why Michael Jackson is considered such an amazing dancer.

you can see a lot of Fosse in Janet's moves. there is obvious street/urban moves, and enough technical movement to just be considered a dance concert.
there are movers and dancers. Michael is a mover..Janet actually dances.

The reason why the Jackson variety shows are great is that you actually see him being more diverse, therefore you see how he would normally dance, like in a club setting, to the Street dancing of the 70s to Jazz dancing. One minute it looked like he belong to the Soul Train line up and the next minutes he could be part of the Chorus Line.

Has anyone that is picking Janet watched Michael on the Bad tour? Damnnnnn. He was doing stuff that like defied gravity and just logic all together on that tour.

As for the person who goes on about the sames moves, there are not many singers who can do these special moves, cant even see janet do the robot dancing machine moonwalk, sidewalk, popping, spinning 6 times etc. Fans wanna see these individual trademark moves and this is what sets him apart from people who can only do choreography. .
