I'm totally with you Cali Jill would have to nut up to the point of committing murder before I'd ditch her ass. She's quality and class and I don't give a shit about the hair or the purse. Her voice is wearing netiher 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

He's certainly come a long way since Kids Incorporated. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I've liked her singing voice since Winkie's Theme, & the stuff she did on the Living Out Loud & Chicago soundtracks is good, but I'm not sure I could take a whole album of it. Especially since she & Al committed the joint crime of remaking & ruining Simply Beautiful... TRAGIC!

Well, I’m not going to be able to buy anything this week (not even Meshell! )but Jill’s snippets sound a lot better than the sampler and what I’ve heard so far. I think this will be more along the lines of Vol 1.
I’m indifferent about Queen Latifah but the snippets I’ve heard sound nice. I think she has a pleasant voice. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I actually had the pleasure of getting an early copy of the album two weeks ago. I have it on repeat on my Zume. Overall this album is arguable one of Jill's best. This album from start to finish is full of emotions. You can really relate to each song as is it plays. Forget the music, listen to the lyrics. This is not a bump and get your dance on kind of album. It's a lyrical expression of raw emotion.
The album is DEEP!!!! Standouts.... Just about every song (for me).... I can really relate to: Crown Royal - Epiphany - Insomnia - Whenever you-re around - Wanna be Loved - Breathe Yeah breakups and divorce is a b*tch.... "How it Make You Feel" lyrically is the best I've heard her write. Overall, I give it **** stars out of 5. Other albums.... Ledisi "Lost and Found".... I give it **** stars out of 5. It's definatley on the jazz tip but just as good as Soulsinger Chaka Khan "Funk This".... I give it *****. She has not lost her touch. Checkout her remake of Sign of the Times. She didn't call this album "Funk This" for nothing.

Now I really want to get it! It sounded like it could top Vol 1 but I can't speak since I haven't heard the whole thing but I really like what I've heard so far. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Now if only Mint Condition would get in on the act! Living the Luxury Brown is their best album in my opinion, the really picked up the pace with the extra creative freedom of being independent. On this album the actually sounded like a real band as opposed to a group singing ballads.

So far Hate On Me is sticking the most, I'm still getting into the album. I'm sure it'll win me over w/ more time, but her previous efforts have taken hold faster than this one...
