Is that the movie you are referring to? I heard "Free Ride" last weekend in the movie "Radio" starring Cuba Gooding, Jr. It was on the FX Network. Tavares did a remake of this song in 1975.

It's an excellent movie that takes place on the last day of school in 1976.It's sorta like 'American Graffiti' but set in the 70s.Interestingly,this film features two actors who would go on to become superstars: Ben Affleck and Matthew McConaughey,both of whom established themselves as credible actors. | |
