"Music icon Stevie Wonder may be taking to the concert trail by year's end.Wonder is cutting his first album since 1995 and plans to have it in release sometime this fall.And if that plan pans out,"I'm hoping to go out on tour" he says.Wonder has alot he wants to say in his latest recording---which he tells this column will be a reflection of the of the current state of turmoil around the world."There are so many things that have happened...when you talk about 9/11 and people's real commitment to God over man's ego"says Wonder.

"Unfortunately,a lot of what people say and do in the name of Allah is about ego,not about God.I'll be speaking about some of those things in my songs,and there will be those who will be majorly opposed to them because it's the truth",he says."And some will embrace them as very real.But most of all,I'll be speaking from the heart and not a place of self-centeredness or ego".

Now that is some exciting news! Nice to know Stevie Wonder will have some new music and a tour. I saw him when I was a kid during the Hotter Than July tour.

So true! In the late 90s,I was hearing all these rumors of a new CD.Then,last year I heard that the new CD would be released in September 2001.I also heard that Stevie would be doing another movie soundtrack.So,yes we should take this latest rumor with a grain of salt...lol...but the cool thing is,HE MAY TOUR THIS FALL:) I've never been to a Stevie Wonder show!

(June7 is now feeling somewhat bad about having seen Stevie 5 times in concert!...I said somewhat! LOL)

If this news is true, then this year might not b so bad musically after all...I can't wait.

Now if there's ANYONE who doesn't need the excuse of a new CD to tour...it's STEVIE WONDER!!! I've often wondered why he hasn't toured for such a long time.

I agree 100% about Natural Wonder. It sure took a long time for Stevie to release a live album but it was worth. As far as a new album I hope this is true and I hope its a masterpiece. I would love to hear what Stevie will say about the current state of the world.
