James Taylor's "October Road"

I looove this cd!

There's a song on it called "Belfast To Boston" check out the lyrics:

Belfast To Boston
(James Taylor)

There are rifles buried in the countryside
By the rising of the moon
May they lie there long forgotten
Till they rust away into the ground

Who will bend this ancient hatred
Will the killing to an end
Who will swallow long injustice
Take the devil for a countryman

Who will say "This far no further, O' Lord
If I die today"

Send no weapons, no more money
Send no vengeance across these seas
Just the blessing of forgiveness
For my new countryman and me

Missing brothers, martyred fellows
Silent children in the ground
Could we but hear them would they not tell us
"Time to lay God's rifle down"

Anyway... nice stuff. Good old James Taylor... still got it! He entered the pop charts on billboard at number 4 with this album... amazing!

Check it out.

Yeah, this new album was actually good enough to be my favorite James Taylor CD. And actually it's probably in my top 30 favorites of all time.

Belfast to Boston is the weakest song on there though wink

My favorite is Caroline, I See You.

That's a great one 2, but I wouldn't consider "Belfast To Boston" weak... then again, I loved "Shed A Little Light" also (from the New Moonshine cd).

I'm just really diggin' this one, much better than Hourglass.

Yeah, Shed a little Light was a great song too.

I loved Hourglass, but I find October Road to be more consistent. Not a weak song on it really.
