'Idol' Judges Offer Britney a Helping Hand AOL
Posted: 2007-09-14 14:13:34 Filed Under: Britney Spears, Music News, TV News LOS ANGELES (Sept. 14) — Can Simon, Paula and Randy be the ones to turn Britney Spears' career around? They hope so. FOXNews.com reports that the "American Idol" judges have offered Britney Spears an invitation to follow their guidance, presumably on the hit FOX reality show. The invite comes almost a week after Spears' disastrous comeback attempt at MTV's Video Music Awards show on Sept. 9. "We have decided we can bring Britney back," said sharp-tongued Simon Cowell. "We are serious. We plan to buy her underpants, get her bigger shorts to perform in and get her away from her stupid friends." "We always have time for Britney, we love her," added Paula Abdul. Despite Spears' lackluster performance, her appearance helped MTV boost its ratings. "MTV ratings are up and all we're hearing is Britney, Britney, Britney! She can turn it around," Cowell said. Even Randy Jackson is getting in on the Britney action, telling the pop star that 'Idol "will make you a superstar again!" 2007 AOL LLC. There again lies the problem, people like MTV,Timbaland etc all saying "Hey Britney come over here and i'll help you comeback", everyone one of them is just looking for $$ to make off of her, they could care less if she jumped off a bridge with her kids in each hand just as long as they get $$, sorry but thats true. If Britney does have issues and this is not all some kind of weird way to comeback, then the last thing she needs is American Idol or to be a "superstar", Randy should be ashamed for even thinking this way, Simon, well i expect it cause the show is almost done at this point, at least for him and that would give them some ratings that they need, as for Paula, she shouldnt even talk about having issues. Why can't someone lend her a hand to lead her off the damn stage? "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world." | |

You're right... But, also wrong is the fact that anybody WANTS to make her a superstar or feels she has merits deserving of a so-called "superstar". Why don't these people clamour over those with talent, the ones that don't have any money and haven't been succesful enough to rise, breakdown and try a comeback yet. The reason i question "issues" is that i found out today, though i always kinda sensed it, that 99% of celebs actually call the press before they do something, its the HYPE generation, they have someone call and say "Lindsay is going to be here, or Britney is going to be there, or Kanye is going to say this etc....." Why don't these people clamour over those with talent, the ones that don't have any money and haven't been succesful enough to rise, breakdown and try a comeback yet. Mainly because its easy money, shes already a known name, its not like they have to introduce her to the world or something like that. I question everyones motives, from Timblaland wanting to slap some "beats" on her to Kanye all of a sudden aligning with her when he realized she got all the press, to American Idol wanting to book her when they saw that MTV got their best ratings in almost a decade for this, there just wondering how much they could increase their own ratings with Britney every week. Its all a game at this point, everyone has their motive, so when i here their sincerity i really just have to think how full of crap they are.
