I actually like this song. Celine Dion managed to restrain her singing on this one.

Immortality: one of the few Celine Dion and Bee Gee's songs I can tolerate. Most of the time I dislike both.

The song was written and recorded by the Bee Gees in 1976.It appears on their 'Children Of The World' album (their best album, imo).Melba recorded a very nice remake in 1978.That song is one of my favs.It has a cool, breezy disco groove to it.

No, but I'm gonna pick it up anyway 'cos I've never actually had my own copy of the album.
I borrowed it years ago and was loath to hand it back, but I did. lol
Even without the extras it's a fine set.

It's an excellent compilation, containing the best music from their R&B/disco phase.I remember when it was released in late 1979,several months after 'Spirits Having Flown' came out.Curiously,it doesn't contain a single song from the 'Sgt.Peppers' soundtrack, but I guess they probably wanted to forget that project, lol.

I think everyone wanted to forget that project. lol

Yeah, it's a great set. Only a few of my fave tracks from that era are missing.
Baby As You Turn Away, Boogie Child and Living Together are the main omissions, imo.

not me ..i love that soundtrack better than the beatles versions. but the reason these songs were never included is probably due 2 the bee gees weren't really featured on a lot of the tracks as lead vocals
